TESTING FOR A SLAB LEAK IN YOUR HOME

Slab Water Leak Detection Process

If you want to check if your home has a slab leak, follow these steps! This is especially useful if you can’t find the obvious warning signs:

  1. Turn off all your water appliances.
  2. Locate your water meter outside.
  3. Remove the top cover (can be lifted or pryed open)
  4. Looking at your water meter, check for a red triangle. If it is moving or rotating then water is flowing through your pipes. This shouldn’t happen if everything is turned off!

If you have no red triangle indicator, check the number gauge at the bottom. If it’s going up, you may have a leak as well. It’s as simple as that!

You’re in Good Hands

“I had a leak in the main water line leading to the house. OneStop was very responsive and made an appointment for me the same day. The repair was quickly completed and the price was very reasonable.”

“I’ve used them twice now and they do great work. Just recently they re-did my hot water manifold (leading up to my master bedroom shower) where there was a pinhole leak. They do a good job with identifying the most likely spot where the leak is by using a leak detector and infrared camera. The only downside is that they don’t drywall the area they cut, but I know a lot of plumbers don’t. While he was here they also unclogged my shower head which was cool of them :)”

Andrew I.Leak Repair, Corona, CAYelp

“We had a water leak upstairs and we called OneStop plumbing. It was late afternoon but they were able to send someone right out. Travis did a good job diagnosing the problem and he had it fixed in no time and at a fair price. We would use them again.”

Alan M.Leak Repair, Corona, CAYelp

“Just had Conrad from One Stop out to look at a leakingvalve to the washer. He evaluated it from what could be the easiest fix to the most costly. Being totally ignorant of plumbing a less honest plumber could have started with the most expensive fix and I wouldn’t have known the difference. All he did was tighten a nut and was on his way. The service call was reasonably priced. Trust is everything to me. I think they have a customer for life.”

Neil S.Leak Repair, Corona, CAYelp

“Amazing, outstanding customer service. Called to get a shower head leak repaired however our home builder made an exception and repaired it out of the warranty period.”

“EJ and Wade came out to fix a leak that multiple plumbers had said they couldn’t repair. Job was done quickly and professionally.  They even spent the  extra time with me to explain what they did and why it happened.  I will definitely be calling them next time I need a plumber.”

How We Solve Slab Leaks

has become the product of choice because it is a flexible yet durable plastic that does not corrode.

Copper Pipe

Pex Pipe

Among our top solutions for fixing a slab leak we do: pipe re-routing, epoxy restoration, and re-piping (where we implement PEX pipes into your plumbing system). Pipe re-routing is perfect if only a small amount of pipe is leaking and needs replacement. Epoxy restoration is when we use insertion points/access holes to access leaks for repair.

Most modern homes use PEX Pipe Plumbing and it is a common solution when re-piping. PEX is flexible and durable plastic that doesn’t corrode, making it a better alternative to copper pipes. Uponor is our manufacturer of choice, known for their customer friendly 25 year warranty! The only time when PEX isn’t suitable for a home is when it has back canyons. These back canyons can be affected by outside environmental factors or mice chewing.
